Missing again...
The other day my car started to miss at wot. Now its missing a little all the time. I noticed it today missing while it was idling. Due to the missing I've noticed an EXTREME loss of power. I replaced the spark plugs and oxygen sensors less than a month ago. Im going to replace the spark plug wires next week because they are the ones that have been on there since production. I have a 98 mustang gt vert with 112,000 miles on it. Would a fuel filter cause a missing feeling. Im pretty sure it hasnt been changed before so Im gonna include that in my tune up next week. Any other possibilites? Thanks.

RE: Missing again...
Buy a spark tester and test each wire. If they all check out then you may have a fuel issue. Take a spray bottle that sprays a steady stream and spray each tube of the exhaust manifold. Which ever one is not drying as fast as the others then switch that injector with another and do the same thing over. If the miss moves with the injector then get a new one if it stays in the same cyl then regap the plug. Fuel filter will not cause a miss it will cause hesitation. If you do all of those tests and still cant find out whats wrong then check all of your vacum lines. Use an unlit propane torch and where ever the idle goes up when you move the torch around is where your leak is.
