Default Headers and Sound

I have a set of BBK shorty headers that I might get put on this week...but I have a question first.

With my current exhaust set up (in sig) how will the headers affect my sound?

Umm not to be a jerk, but put them back on ebay and sell them. They will affect your sound slightly and give you almost 0 hp. I made that mistake on my first GT also. Pretty much a worthless 600-700 bucks for less than 5 HP. Swap them out to Longtubes, or nothing.

Yea, I dont think I'm going to do the longtube thing right now. These are a better option for me considering I'm in school and only work about 10-15 hours a week. Plus from what I've heard/read, longtubes would be around 500 to get installed if not more because the engine has to be jacked up some to put them on. That might be fine in a few years when I'm out of school and have a real job, but with the deal I got on these, its hard to not have them put on.

if you already have em, put them on. The sound will change some, and it might pick up a few horsepower. This is all assuming you are getting a deal on the install.

I heard the BBK don't fit with auto's. Do you know if the MAC's do fit auto's. I just got rid of my shorties and it's either back to stock manifolds or longtubes, but I have a 96 auto.

Go Mac .. you don't have to jack the engine out .. just drop the front suspension .. so much easier .. long tubes + installation .. 500-550 total .. and get some headerwraps .. the help more than any ceramic coating would ...
