If you were about to buy a 99-04 Mustang GT automatic how many miles (or less) would the one you bought have on it?

I wish I had the patience to keep searching when I found mine. It's an 02 and it had 35k on it. However, with all the people on this site that have 100k plus miles on their cars and still modding them, I'm honestly not that worried about it anymore.

Depending on your budget. If you didn't mind to spend a lil more... looking for them under 20k. If you're more on a budget... you could look between 20k-50k. I had right at 40k on my 04 GT when I sold it and I thought it was still in great shape. Absolutely nothing was wrong with it.

+1 it depends on how much your willing to spend and how patient your willing to be. I wouldnt go for any more than 30k though.

If I buy another it will not be high mileage like the one I bought........

I would look for 30K and below, then factory tires will still be there most likely and you can check tread wear to see how bad they dogged it out. Will never buy one with mods done to it.

I bought mine with 104K and already spend 1500 fixing minor things............

but i got a steal on it.

+1 on never buying a car that already has mods on it... friend of mine just bought one that had all sorts of this and that on it... he had it 2 months and it blew up on him... most likely because the guy that had it before him, beat the hell out of it. Also never buy with out getting a full car fax report

Remember that alot of guys can de-mod these cars to make them look stock. So you might not always be being a mustang thats been stock all its life. Also a consideration, if your buying it off someone... their age can sometimes tell you whether it might be beat on or not. Not always the case for sure, but a 50 year old guy will many times take care of something than someone of my age or younger. Exceptions to every rule tho.
