I have a question i have a 03 gt with 39000 miles i want to know how can i know when my clucth need to be replaced what are the signs i am asking this because is the first 5 speed is own i bought the car used please help thanks

 

Since you have a stock, non-adjusted clutch assembly, probably the easiest way of telling you need a new clutch is if the clutch doesnt start engaging until the very top of the pedal movement. Right now your clutch should engage/disengage towards the middle to bottom of the pedal. If it starts engaging/disengaging at towards the top, its a sign that you need a new clutch. Also, when you running your car hard and shift at higher RPMs, if you feel the clutch "slip" it means you need a new one. You'll feel the clutch not grab all the way or grab right away when you press it under high RPMs aka greater pressure for the clutch to work in. Hope this helps

 

thanks man i dont have that problem but my problem is that it grind a little from 1 to 2nd gear sometimes , they told me i could he the syncros or the clutch any ideas
