Yea, i would recommend removing the cats. As far as im concerned, cat converts were put in place to **** me off to no end. I hate them...i take them off of ever car ive ever owned, even my 98 Olds Cutlass, ripped em right off and ran pipes through. But thats just me... You're gunna get better performance and a better sound without them. Just cut them off and weld in some pipe, or buy an offroad x-pipe.

Just buy an Off Road H pipe like this http://www.americanmuscle.com/9904gt...ad-h-pipe.html . It will flow better and probably cost only a little more than it would to have your cats cut off.

Actually an offroad x-pipe would cost considerably more than welding in some pipe. Cut the pipe with a hacksaw (doesnt take long at all, i used one on my cutlass because i couldnt get the plasma cutter or sawsall in there), 6 bucks for the pipe at home depot or lowes, measure and cut the pipe to length yourself, and no more than 40 bucks for a muffler shop to weld the pipes in. If you lived around me, id do it for free.
