Default shift *****

i broke two shift ***** yesterday. I bought one from a local auto parts store and it was a cheap piece of **** so it didn't suprise me. the hurst shift **** (which is ugly as hell imo) broke also. I would like to buy one that can screw onto the shifter without any extra peices because these tend to break. Are the threads 12 mm? if not then what size do i need to look for? I found this **** on the net and i kinda like it http://www.uprproducts.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=1048 what do ya'll think?

I have the Mach 1 shifter ball which looks similar to the one you posted except mines is round all around. I personally like the ball, sturdy and I don't see you breaking it.

PS: No homo on the "ball" comment.

How do you break your shift ***** so easily? I've driven a manual vehicle for 8 years and never once broke a shift ****. Just wondering what the heck your doing to break them so quickly.

That's the same question I had. [&:]

Anyway, I like the ***** for the six speeds where the "6" is replaced with "Fukin Fast". Kinda lame, but I think its pretty funny.

I have seen the Mach 1 **** and I can imagine it on a hot day.....but then again you would have this really cool imprint of the 5spd burned onto your palm. LOL. J/k

On hot days the Mach 1 shift **** burns my damn hand for a second. On a cold day my hand is ice cold. I don't care it's still cool and you'll get used to it. Not really a big deal.

That GT shift **** is nice and screws on very easily. However I have that same **** in black and it has a small screw that goes into the side so that you can line up the GT so it isnt sideways. My experience with that **** was that it eventually got loose and I had to keep tightening down that side screw and eventually it stripped the threads and now it wont line up at all. Plus the ball is very small and somewhat uncomfortable in your hand. Makes you feel as though you are almost grabing the stick itself.

Just my $0.02 hope that helps
