Default Lowered GT's...Evil Speed Bumps?

My car came lowered when I bought it a few months ago. It's down by 1.5", which looks totally awesome. I love the stance and so does everybody else. I get alot of compliments about the car, but when I rolling through my schools parking lot, it's not so cool.

Everytime I go over a bump at my school, I scratch it. I go over them at like .000000001 mph...but as soon as my front wheels land, I hear this DRRRRREAAAADDDED screech from under my ***.[:@] I break a tear each time it happens. I've tried going slower, at different angles, even going one side around them. I've tried a combo of all those, but I still screech.[>:]

Anybody else have/had this problem with their lowered GT? Any techniques on avoiding it, besides dropping out of school?!?! [&:]

Thanks guys!

BTW: Is it even harmful to the car??? I feel like it's hitting my X-pipe. I don't want a leak. Thats my biggest fear.

What do you mean by "dragging"? Nothings dragging from under the car if thats what you mean?

I don't drive with anybody in the car. I'm 200lbs alone, and that does bring down the car quite a bit. LOL, Maybe I should pop it in neutral and get out while going over em lol.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's the X-pipe casing. It sounds like metal grinding with asphalt. It's gotta be the X-pipe. I can ask my autoshop teacher if I could put her on the lift and take a peek (I'm his favorite student).

this may not be fesible in the school parking lot,,, but if you go alot faster you might be able to launch off the speed bump!! and then no worries about bottoming out!!! except on landing,, but what a dukes of hazzard move,, the girls will be impressed!!!!LOL, j/k

I hope you can find a solution to you car bottoming out, i'd hate to hear that sound..[:@][&o]
