what to do next
I want to get some hp power out of my engine what should I do next? So fare I have a sct racing chip, cold air intake, bored throttle bodie , o/r h pipe and a ford racing catback with flows. I was looking at short headers I should get them for x-mas so what else can I do without spending more then $300-450. It’s a 4.6 man.

I'm bad with what to do next's posts. I was going to say LT's, but you don't have the money, unless you want to go with MACs, but plus install would put you way over $400.
I can tell you though, if your going to blow the $400 on shorty headers, SAVE THE $$. Shorties are completely worthless man.
Hopefully someone will chime in with some good alternatives... I would say maybe gears? (Then again, installs are always the factor that puts people over the $$ limit [&:])
PS - I would agree with progt99 now that I read his post too... To get real power from these cars, you need some type of power adder... Otherwise the money just isn't worth it for us average guys.

RE: what to do next
how about nos or is that really bad for the motor i was thinking a 75-100 shot. I can get the kit for 300 for a kid at my school.
Do some research, don't just dive into this $300 kit from your friend, NOS can be dangerous if you just throw it around. Good kits I have seen from NX for example all run in the $600 range (not sure which shot that is) but I would definitely do research, and in all honest, get it from a reputable retailer, not your friend.
Plus you are going to need an install and a good tune to run safely... So the $$ will add up a little bit too.

You are about at the end for the budget that you want to spend. I would say first, gears. They will help acceleration but will run you a little over your budget. The nitrous is the next best way. That will run a lot over your budget though. You have to tune it as well. I wouldnt just buy a kit and start spraying if I were you. Good luck, you may just want to save up until you have some more money to spend.
