Default electrical problem

Well, I was driving to walmart, and at a stop light I tried to turn my turn signal on. When the lever is moved into proper posistion, the lights (outside as well as on the dash) blink once, then turn solid. Hazards however, work perfectly fine. Any idea what the problem is, how I can fix it and how much it might cost? Thanks.

Check your fuses for a blown fuse.

Let me get you the right link......

https://web.msslib.dealerconnection....000c58803ac920

Try that. Its the owners manual for the 04 Stang direct from Ford website. Look to pages 126-129 for fuses. You might have to be logged in to use that link, hopefully not. If so, register with Ford anyway. http://myford.fordvehicles.com You can put your VIN in and find out some things about your car history and also be notified of recalls and crap.
