Anyone ever install MAC longtubes?

Anyone ever install MAC longtubes?
I have a problem. I'm putting my motor together and I got to where I'm bolting on the longtubes. Anyway, you know that metal pipe that goes from the header on the driver's side to the plenum? I think it's the EGR pipe. Ya, well it doesn't fit. There's some sort of extenstion coming off the headers where I can see this is supposed to screw in to, but the threads are female and so is the pipe. Plus, it seems like the pipe must be bent for it to fit. Has anyone ever had this problem? Remember, these are MAC longtubes on a 96 GT with PI heads. Here, this picture might help explain what I mean.
See, the threads on the header are female and that pipe has is threaded female too.
Plus, the pipe looks like it needs to be bent to hell to fit.

That sucks. I figured that's the way I had to go. What about getting the pipe to screw onto the header? Can I just get a section of pipe with the same threads from the hardware store?

Hey how would I connect the egr pipe after the motor's in and running that sounds like a b*tch. Secondly my headers came with an egr pipe on them already. but I can't get that little piece off the old headers that connects to the plenum.

EGR Deletion is not a good thing and I would not recommend doing so, here's some reading why :
http://www.carcare.org/Emission_Control/egr.shtml
" Although at first impression it may appear counter-productive, the EGR system does this by introducing calibrated amounts of exhaust gas into the engine’s intake system. Since the exhaust gas—for the most part—doesn’t burn, it takes up some of the space in the combustion chamber of the air/fuel mixture. As a result, combustion chamber temperature drops and so do NOx emissions."
Also I think you have to modify your tune if you delete your EGR System, just FYI.
