insurance costs????
Those of you around the 22 age range... what kind of insurance rates do you get? I've got a clean record, one speeding ticket 5 years ago... and they want to charge me $365 a month for a $250 deductible!!! Does that sound outrageous to anyone else? (2001 GT) Just for sheets and giggles i checked the prices for 2001 6cyl and it was only 30 or 40 bucks cheaper.

I don't know, that seems a bit high. I am paying $180 per month right now on a 97 GT with USAA insurance. I think if I wanted an 01, it'd be around $230 per month. I have a clean record, as far as the insurance company knows and I'm 21. What company are you using, just so we know not to use that one

I also depends on where you live, but I pay about $66 a month for full coverage on my 97 GT and I'm 22. That's will Allstate and they worked a few deals for me since my parents have been with this guy forever.

Yeah, location is the killer for me. Right now i'm stuck in germany. My plan was to buy a mustang when i got stationed back stateside, but i came across a deal i thought was pretty good. Tell me what you think...
2001 GT, clean body, seems to be in great shape all around. 32,000 miles, atlantic blue (i think that's the right name) 5 spd, bone stock.
Is that a pretty good deal? I've been over here so long i can't remember what the car markets are like back home. If it is i may go ahead and buy it despite the INSANE insurance prices. I've only got another 5 months here anyways.

With my 04 GT, I paid $235 per month. 24 years old, one speeding ticket 2 years ago with full coverage. It goes down alot when I turn 25 and next year when I get my point off my license for that ticket. With the point and 25, an 04 Cobra with full coverage was quoted to me for $167 a month. Without the point and 25 with full coverage on the 04 Cobra... its supposed to be $133 a month.
