Default Sta-bil and dry gas needed?

My car has pretty much been under its cover for the last week. It needs an alternator, but it is going away for the winter anyway so I will just do the alternator over the winter/spring. I am going to bring it to fill up the tank and then bring home and detail before putting it back under the cover for good.

Do I need to use a fuel additive to keep the gas from going bad? It will basically be sitting in my driveway/garage for 4 months. I am not going to even be taking it out on nice days simply because of the salt on the roads. I don't want to have my gas go bad and have to live off ****ty gas my first week back on the road with the stang.

Thanks for any replies.

PS: Any other garaging tips would be great.

Sure dump in some fuel stabilizer the stuff is cheap enough & there's no downside. Make sure you RUN the engine for about 5 minutes after dumping the stuff in the tank so it gets pulled up the fuel lines & into the injectors too.

Some guys might say you don't need stabilizer for a "short 4 month" storage, but hey like I said, the stuff's cheap do it anyway. Hell I put the stuff in my lawnmower & weedwacker too lol

And make sure U fill the tank FULL to the top to avoid condensation.

Yes add a bottle of fuel stabilizer, and fill the gas tank right to the top. This will avoid condensation build up.
Start the car every 2 weeks or so, and let it run for about 15 min.

Nice car GreyStang. I always wondered what my car would look like as a convertible.
