Default Help QUICK - Turning off 02s w/ Xcal2

Hey Guys,

I am trying to use the Xcal 2 to turn off the o2 sensors from my o/r X. When we plug the tuner in I read the codes and there are 2, both for each cat, telling me there are no o2 sensors. Problem is I don't know how to turn them off? Do I just hit clear DCTs? I don't just want to clear the codes, I want to turn the o2's OFF for GOOD. Someone who has done this please help, asap. We are getting the car inspected later today.

with my crappy hypertech before you can tune all DTCs must be cleared. So my guess is you have to clear the DTCs then you can turn em off.

Nope I just read that I have to start to program the car, then I will see the option for o2 sensors. Problem is americanmuscle sent me a 2000 GT 91+ tune... I said 87 fuel?

I don't want to ues 91 yet, is there a way I can reprogram the fuel I want to use!?

Someone with an Xcal please help.

Ok I will try that. Anyone know if once I start to program the car I CAN change the fuel back to 87?

Yea I called him. He said there is no way to change the fuel if american muscle set it up for a 91+ tune. I specifically put 87 in the form they have you fill out before they send you the tuner. So now I have a dispute with them. Kevin said they could probably just send me the new tune over the internet. Problem is they are closed til after christmas and I need to get the car inspected before Jan 1st.[:@]

Thanks though ripper.

The rear o2's have to be zeroed in two places but it takes the pro racer or dealer package. You can put the 91 tune on and the back the timing off 2 or 4 degrees in all three ranges or untils it doesn't ping anymore . If it pings at WOT you will need to richen the fuel, (works only for WOT).

Yea I really don't want to mess with it. I'm going to take it up with american muscle and tell them they screwed up. I need an 87 tune, because that's what I am going to be running for a while longer. I don't need any problems right now, just want to turn off the o2 sensors and will be fixing the speedo when I get the new wheels. I will eventually be tweaking the tune, but I don't want to mess with it at the moment.
