I have one, love it and "yes" I would recommend one. Make sure you get an adjustable clutch cable as well.

I'll spare you the details and tell you the ideal setup:
Maximum Motorsports Quadrant - Maximum Motorsports makes the best quadrant, period. Forget the double and tripple hook crap, the MM unit is the ideal curve.
Ford Cable - Only use a Ford cable, aftermarket adjustable cables are crap and sieze much more frequently.
Fiore Firewall Adjuster - Fiore Performance Parts makes the best firewall adjuster, period, it requires minor drilling

Myself and a number of my friends haveaftermarket quadrants, cables, and firewall adjusters. There is no comparrison, the parts I mention above really save you aggrevation in the long run. Personally, if I couldn't have those products, I would rather stay stock because Siezed cables, cut cables, and unneccessarily rediculous pedal effort (that resultsin NO improvement in racing whatsoever)are no fun.

What exactly does the adjuster do? Does it just move where your clutch pedal is? I would love to have less clutch travel. My friend has a 2005 Ford Focus ZX3 and the clutch only goes in about 1/2 as much as mine. Could this do that for me?

Absolutely, you can set the point where the clutch disengages much higher or lower depending on your preference.
If you set up your clutch to disengage higher, then you can use a special bracket, theSteeda Adjustable Pedal Stop, toshorten the possibletravel of your clutch pedal. It'sless than $25

my clutch pedal kinda rattles when deacclerating, but everything seems to be tight, could it be the cable is stretched and thos the quadrant and new cable would fix this?
