There are 4 but they are all before the crossover and if you only take the rear cats off no lights should come on but removing all of them would require mils. At least thats what people have done here on the forums

you just leave the rear sensors in and the front cats are supposed to generate enough heat so that the sensors dont trigger the check engine light
