SLP LM2 just installed!
So today I got up, moved everything out of the garage cause it was raining (washington). Put the rear up on jack stands and got to work, really pretty easy hardest part was cutting the pipe by hand. I only have one question, and of course this is the part my dad wanted to do;the left tip just doesn't want to line up the with the other one, and he said they look perfect andI just frowned(hangs about 1/4-1/2 inch lower). Anyone know howI would get it to line up better. As for sound, complete SEX. Can't really hear it at idle from the inside but gurgley from outside. It's real deep just below 2 grand. Then the best part was at WOT when it sounds like it eats babies and small animals.
I actually have another question, I just clamped the exhaust on because a while back I heard that SLP clamps are pretty good and shouldn't leak. Now should I get them welded or with they be fine? I put them on as tight as I could.
I had the same problem with one of my tip hanging lower. All I did was pull the tip off and then I took a rubber mallot and tapped the hanger down a little closer to the body of the tip. Just keep test fitting it till it looks right.
Now all you need is an O/R H or X and it will sound MEAN!

I should have said I put the clamps on as tight as i could without screwing up the pipes. If I could find a real cheap used o/r H that would bolt up to the stock manifolds I would probably do it because I don't want to spend to much becauseI will be getting LT and that H pipe will just be a waste
I got the LM1's and I have the same problem. Not really that noticible, but when I look, I can see. I just let it go. It's not enough to make it look bad or to make me care. And I like what JJ03 said. We got one of those outside Dairy Queen's by my house and in the summer everyone is lined up outside it right along the road. So I liketo coastup then clutching it and WOT right past the place. I look in the rear view and see people dro their ice cream cones. HAHAHA. Give it a try sometime.
just to let you know i had an expensive bbk x pipe, i sold it for a cheap summit H pipe and it works fine. i gained a little bit of power also. as far as midpipes go, i think expense only defines the material of the metal and fitment. i would recomend the summit H pipe and it was half the price of the bbk. dont ALWAYS let the name brand fool you. sometimes its just a name brand
