is this a bad idea for 117K.. also from what i have seen it is fairly easy if you know tools!

Its not the tools thats hard, its knowing what you are doing taking an engine apart and putting it back together.

Its not a simple in and out process. Theres nothing wrong with hi milage if its been maintained

 

Timing cover, pulleys, valve cover,alt, a/c comp, tensioners inside cover, cam caps? is that close?

well yea sounds like alot to do... seen an episode on horsepower few months ago on changing 99-04 cams i recorded will watch again...

maintained yes oil has been changed when needed plugs but i drive it pretty hard
