Default trans problem

I was driving to work this afternoon and after 15 min of driving I was at a light and my car wouldnt go into 2'd it wouldnt slide in for the life of it and all I got was a very loud grinding noise...so w/ 2'd gone I would just throw it into 3...but then as I kept on driving 4th gear would do the exact same thing...I finally got to work and called ford up when the flatbed came to pick it up reverse wouldnt work either....wtf is up w/ me car???...and it should all b under warrenty right?

Been powershifting alot? Sounds like snycs, but then again it doesnt, because they usually dont all go at once

Something must have gone massivly wrong. You are lucky to have made it to work. I would think it would be under warrenty, unless they try to say your aftermarket stuff hurt the trans.

Yeah, I hope your dealership will do everything right and not try to screw you on your mods.

Technically they can't, but I'm more than willing to be that they will give it a try...

I've never powershifted my car....and yea I kno what ur saying dan...I brang my car in there just last week b/c my service engine light came on and ford wouldnt do ****...instead all they did was charge me 100$ and gave me a list of all the stuff that they could find that I did 2 my car...and they charged me 100 bucks for that!...hell I could have told them all that for free...but anyway I called them when my tranny went and they said that its still under warranty but my motor isnt b/c of the mods that I have...but I'm wondering if they'll blame the problem w/ my tranny in my shifter or rear end gears

Thunder....wtf?

Why didn't you just slap the stock intake back on there for service and pull the chip out, then it would be under warranty!

As long as you don't tell them you have gears, why would they look?

i have a trans im tryn to get rid of, i broke one of the shift plates which left it locked into 3rd gear, but since i have replaced to of the shift plates, and havent put it in a car yet, but when u shift it and spin the shaft it works great. it wuld fit ur car too, b/c the guy i bought my trans off of was a 2001 so i jus swapped the rear cover which changes the mounting position. let me kknow if ur interested
