Default Fuel? startup?

Sometimes my car doesnt start up on the first try. If it's it doesnt start right up i hold it for like 3 seconds. then if it doesnt start i wait for a second then usually it starts right up. also the MPG thing so i think it might be from fuel delivary....also the car pulls to the right sometimes, espcially when braking...plus when braking it has a small vib. so i think the rigth front rotar is warped. i just checked my tire pressure and 35 all the way around so thats not it...can you guys help me at all please? any ideas?

Well, start cheap and easy and change the fuel filter. That's standard maintanance anyway. It could be a fuel pump issue though. Does the starter pull hard when it tries to start or does it sound weak? If it's weak it may take it longer to get a good turn over and that could be the issue, but I'm assuming probably not.

As for pulling to the right and the shudder when braking, rotate the tires, get an alignment, and possibly replace the rotor.

Sound right on the warper rotor, your alignment could be fubar also.

Your fuel filter might be clogged too.

no alignment wear on my tires, and i just rotated them...when it tryes to start it doesnt sound weak or anything...if anything it goes harder (weird i know) so what else could it be since it's not weak?

Lot's of probs for one day.

In retrospect to your braking problem I'd do the front rotors, and if that doesn't fix it, might be a locked caliper. My 2000sat for about 8 months and I took it around the block and the when I would brake it would pull REALLY hard to the right. Turns out the front calipers were locked. $80 for new front calipers and problem solved.

My 97 cobra does that same problem with having to hold the ignition to start it and my 2000 is kind of that way since the SC install. I like to go by this philosophy, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." But the problems do seem weird since the car is so new. How many miles?

Warranty usually doesnt cover wear items like break pads, rotors, etc..

+1. For $50 and an hour of quality time in the garage you can have new rotors.

my car does the start up thing as well, as do several others here. the problem is so unpredictable it wouldn't do any good to take it to the dealer. tried everything but replacing the fuel pump. i've posted the issue on here before, other people have similar issues with no solutions.

I think I heard from someone that it had something to do with the spark plugs and heat or something like that. It usually happens when the car has been running and then gets shutoff and turned back on before it has a chance to cool down all the way, so I guess that makes a little sense. take that with a grain of salt. [&:]

my car has never done that and then failed to start up though, it just takes an extra crank or two.
