Im the only no vote. I dont trust dealers as far as I can smell thier BS. Not saying that this one is a beater whipped back into shape, just that it COULD be. When I'm messing around with 20,000+ and/or 6 YEARS of financial responsibility, I want a no BS, non-shady, non-"we put a factory new motor in it, we swear!" deal or nothing. I know the flames are coming,. but question was "would you buy". No. Hell no. 2005 Premium GT coupe 7,000 mi FTW.

hell a brand new cobra only had a 1 yr warranty didnt it? ... Well regaurdless, make no mistake that you are downgrading vehicles, I wouldnt buy a 99-04 that wasnt a vert.. nor would I buy a 05+ that wasnt a coupe... you have the nicer car and cobras are sweet... but IMO they are not all that, almost all the same stuff has to be replaced on them when you upgrade, stick with you GT - youll be better off... just s/c the car you have and you'll be in buisness... then forge on down the road and a modded cobra wont have nothin on ya. So I see it like this, if you dont already have a 99-04 stang - buy a cobra if the limits of the cobra suit your goals, if you already have a GT.. mod it, it will cost about the same as the cobra upgrade, but if you buy your stuff right youll have a faster car

Depending on the price and depending on being able to verify the work done to it...

I'd inspect the car good, I'd drive it really hard, make sure the transmission is good, make sure the IRS is good...

If you can get it for a good price, I wouldn't pass up the offer. Be willing to work out kinks, but it'll be worth it.

I would say go for it bro. When I bought my GT they had a Cobra there that was a rag top. That's the only reason I didn't buy it. I regret it now. They only wanted $3000 more for it. DAMN!!!!!! [sm=smiley19.gif]
