nice reply i liked hearing that one. i have some 373s sitting here, i dont want to install them though because i might jump up to the 410s. now listen, i totally understand the fifth gear situtation on my 03 gt, it is boggy and looonnngg. Will the 373s make 5th stronger? or would i have to go 410s for that feel. I drive alot in vegas, stop light to stop light, as well i enjoy first gear. Also the streets out here seem to give off little traction, even with my nitto d/r's.. my next issue is the traction. This is why i still have not stepped it up to 410s.. will i be okay? i mean i am slappin a super on VERY SOON, so there is another added element.

I have 3.73s and am pretty pleased with em... I would not want any more gear at this time with the way the car acts.

On a n/a boltons car though, 4.10s FTW!

2000GT4.6 - so you are saying since i will be putting a supercharger on , i should stick with 3:73s? Whats the difference if you have 3:73 to 4:10 on a supercharged car?

Heres some numbers using my tire as an example (255/45/17) 25' tall, at 75 MPH to give you a hiway estimate of what you'll be at:

4.10 gears w/ Manual (3650 5-speed):
5th gear: (.68:1): 2,810 RPM

3.90 gears w/ Manual (3650 5-speed):
5th gear: (.68:1): 2,673 RPM

3.73 gears w/ Manual (3650 5-speed):
5th gear: (.68:1): 2,557 RPM

[hr]

4.10 gears w/ Automatic (4R70W 4-speed):
4th gear: (.70:1): 2,893 RPM

3.90 gears w/ Automatic (4R70W 4-speed):
4th gear: (.70:1): 2,752 RPM

3.73 gears w/ Automatic (4R70W 4-speed):
4th gear: (.70:1): 2,632 RPM

For me, being that I'm keeping my car non-F/I, its 4.10 FTW![sm=gears.gif]

EDIT: Manual w/ 4.30 gears: 2,947 RPM ----- Auto: w/ 4.30 gears: 3,034 RPM
