PI swap/PI engine replacement or go home.

The NPI cars simply do not respond well to boltons.a "NPI swap" means you swap the heads, cams, and intake from a 99-04 mustang GT engine onto your car. Alternatively you can just pull the engine and replace it with a 99-04 one from a junkyard.

The little stuff like t/b etc will add virtually nothing to the car. You can easily be well over the cost of a used PI engine or PI swap in boltons and still only make 210 WHP compared to a stock engine PI car making 225+

if its your first car with high hp id suggest learning to drive it before even thinking about mods... otherwise
id suggest a cobra motor, nothing responds to mods like a built up 4v DOHC =)
im pretty sure that when your making around 310 rwhp youll be more then satisfied.. youll need wiring harness and a bunch of other parts but hey you never mentioned budget or anything..

For starters you should do something with the exhaust.

That might only net you a few HP, and will improve the sound.

True the other bolt-ons are offer little benefit on the NPI car, but installing those items will help you learn you way around the car and will pay off if you decide to go PI.

Your car is old, so I'm sure it has some issues. But its a Mustang so enjoy...

Unless your first mod is the "Turbonator" you can't go wrong.

I agree with learning how to drive your car first before putting engine mods on. I have a 99 cobra and it still suprises me sometimes. 2 questions: Does anybody know of an ONLINE source to find a replacement driver side door for my 99? I've been to and called several junk yeards (even in other states), went to a Ford dealer, and asked friends and friends of those friends. and #2 How do I put a picture as my signature?

First, a mustang's engine can do with the miles, so I've been told, but the real problem is how it was driven! Was it ponied around by an 80 year old granny, or dogged by a 17 year old, 5 tranny rebuilds and new gears for the 3rd time? If you've dogged it, which I think you have a few times claiming that you know how to drive it, I think it would safe to assume a new engine. Start from scratch, new aluminum block, keep what you can from the old block and rebuild to how you want it. Or go with a swap with an engine that hasn't been dogged as much or any at all. Do what alot of people have told me: RESEARCH! look around and READ, ask questions, feel your car out now so you know what you need.
