I wondered the same thing a while back when I was doing my longtubes.... Well I have seen pictures of one guy taking a strap and wraping it around the headers, two straps. Then I saw this article and it looks like they have it bolted to the front timing cover and the rear bolts for the bellhousing. http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2...ct01/index.php

Good luck.

I think you need to use a brackt that you can adjust the angle of the motor. If you just want to pull it and move it around by hand just bolt it to an intake bolt, but take the intake off before and make sure its screwed all the way down. You may ruin the bolt, so just be prepared. I havent pulled this motor yet, but many have brackets you can just hook a chain hook to, you might go look for some of those from a parts store.

Try giving Ford a call to see what their mechanics do. Talk to one of them in the service department, they should be able to give you some pointers/guidance.

i've seen people pull motors with a lift plate that bolts on where the upper intake plenum is, but I don't think our plastic intakes could hold up to that. please do post what you find out as i am very curious about this. Sorry I dont have an exact answer for ya.

I have pulled plenty of motors, I was just saying I saw where someone had used a bracket that they could adjust the angle tomake it easier. Do as doughboy said, thats how everyone pulls a motor. I was just trying to make your life easier, I hear the engine compartment is crapmped and the adjuster helps. Do you even have a cherry picker hoist?
