well i searched and searched for about 6 months to find a mustang that hadnt been abused...well i bought one bonestock with 31k miles on it..its at like 33.2 now...well my transmission (auto) is: hardshifting, whining and now SLIPPING!! it hasnt been running right the past few days...well running perfect but it didnt seem like it was getting power to the ground, and well now when i get on it the tranny slipps like a mo fo...it's done it twice, so im going to take it into ford and tell them, hopefully theyll give me a new one insted of rebuilding it or not doing anything...you guys have any tips/ideas?

Has it been serviced recently? Sometimes when auto's are serviced, incorrectly, they can get air in them and cause a slipage. This happened to my SC that I had. They did the service again and added Friction Intensifier. Never slipped again.

Sorry, I shouldn't say "air", but sometimes they can slip.

Tell them it's causing you problems at the track.
But seriously...good luck and I hope they fix it under warranty.

well they don't cover clutches under warranty because it is considered a "wear" part like tires.they should replace a tranny auto or manual.

They do replace clutches if a part failure lead to a prematurely worn clutch. Same goes for all wear parts.
