Default Big Problem

im doing my PI swap and i just finished putting the timing chains back on, everything is how it should be (99% sure) and when i started turning the crankshaft to make sure everything went around as it should, right when #7 gets to the top i hear a little thud and i can't turn it anymore, is that the piston hitting the valves?

Sounds like it. Can you turn it the other way?

Are your cams on the correct sides? They are left/right specific. Also, here's what I used to time it. http://www.modulardepot.com/?show=ar...det&aid=32

well i thought i could turn it the other way until the same spot agin but i guess not, same thing happens when i think it was #2 comes up. I guess im just gonna have to mess with the timing chains until i get it right, even though i have everything lined up like it should.[]man this is frustrating, i suggest none of you try this at home, unless you have a lot of exsperience not the easiest thing to do.

Yeah, that definately sound like piston and valve interference. Just take the chain back off and make sure you timed it right.

no it goes from the front left 1-2-3-4 and then on the drivers side 5-6-7-8 so 7 and 3 would be across from each other

If your running stock cams then your timing has to be off, or there'sa bolt or something on top of your piston. A performance shop near me done an engine swap in a 98 and had the exact same problem. It was the timings. In the end it'll be worth the trouble. Good luck
