control arm install?

looking at getting some upper and lower control arms later on this week. how long does it take to install them and has anybody ran into any problems with installation. i have an 02 gt.

It will take a few hours and you will need a friend to help you line the axle back up so you can get the control bolts back in. It is a PITA.

yeah getting the bolts lined back up it the hardest part. Just bring 2-3 jacks. Put one under the side of the axle you are doing, one on the very front (near driveshaft) of the differential, and one on the other end of the axle. Just make small adjustments and you can move the axle any direction that you want until the bolts are lined up. It will probably take about 4-5 hours as a first time job in your garage.

IT's a pretty straight forward job. took me 5 hours with springs. Getting the bolts out where the old control arms meet the shock was a bitch. I ended up drilling one out. The other, I just put a drill to it to spin it a bunch to make it slide out. Getting everything to line up is tricky but not impossible. I found that using a flat head screw driver to walk the rearend into place through the lower control arm hole/bushing works great. Also youll need a few jacks/jackstands.
