Default is 5.4 worth it ?

I find it hard to spend money on my 4.6 when there so many other engines out there? like the 5.4. same hp more torque. Will the extra torque increase top end even with same hp. 5.4 rated 260hp 350 tq

I think it depends on what you pull it out of on the power ratings.. but yea its a way better option IMO its 3 valves i believe and 3 is better than 2 lol so it would respod better to mods... I really dont understand why ford dosnt plant 5.4's in the car to begin with..stupid but whatever they dont care.. no comp. with anyone else.

Do you mean a 5.4 block with your 2V heads/Intake etc?
The added cubes will add tq but will also add weight to the front of your car. The only way i would do it is with some heavily ported heads/intake/cam combo and an aluminum block. But tq is nice when you have a heavy car.

A 3V 5.4 would be worth it IMO. A 2V no way I see no real point to it besides just having more cubes. Still the same mediocre flowing heads. Head design is what makes the power (see LS1 vs 350TPI) LS1 has less cubes but makes more power because of a)better flowing heads b)all aluminum

so why not build up a FI 5.4 that would decimate all it goes against?
