I've never even looked under the hood of a stang before, so forgive me. I was pretty sure it wasn't stock.
So is it junk? I can hear an air suction/leak type sound sometimes. Is that from trimming the watchamacallit in the intake?

Yea your gonna hear more noise now that the silencer's gone, thats normal. The intake isn't junk, but it won't perform much better, if any better, than the stocker. That one there is more for looks since it will get very hot.

Thanx, well that sux. What do you suggest I replace it with when I get some extra cash?
Is changing the air filter going to be a pain in the azz now, and where will it be? Where will I find replacement filters?
The wife and I just bought it, and I haven't even gave it an oil change yet.
Thanx again.

Yes, changing the filter will be a pain. The filter will be inside the fender well. Depending if the filter is reuseable, just clean it with K&N cleaner and recharge it with the oil from K&N. If not most auto parts stores will have some. If that kit is a MAC, you could always give them a call.

Changing the filter is easy once you have done it once or twice and if you have someone help you a little. Takes me and a friedn about ten minutes to change my filter, if even that!
