Default Advice please... ?

OK.. I'm looking at the Saleen Series IV Supercharger for my 03 GT, and was wondering if anyone has this supercharger and could tell me what it's like? Also, I have heard of a Novi Paxton 1000 or something and seen a lot of Stang guys with it and was wondering what it's like? I read the very detailed supercharger post the other day as well. Oh.. and what about Vortech too? Thanks for the info. : )

LOL come on bro relax. I bet not very many people have the Saleen blower. They're not ignoring you...they just don't know!!!

Apparently they are crazy badass though. They dramatically improve power with very little boost. Frickin awesome.

The seires 4 is a twin screw style blower. The compressor is made by whipple.

They are decent blowers, and can make alot of power. If you are not planning on going with a forged bottom end and want a twin screw you can save yourself money over the KB with this blower. The KB blowers have more potential than a salleen 4 if you rebuild the engine and want to make big power, otherwise there isn't a major difference in power output (stock bottom end)

The centri blowers are generally cheaper than the twin screws. A novi 1000 is an entry level blower from paxton. If you ever plan on a forgedassembly and want to go with paxton I highly recommend the novi 2000. Vortech makes the S, SQ,(entry level to about 550 WHP) and T trim (and others). There is another good company for centris called ATI and they sell the procharger superchargers like the PS1-C (entry level) and D sieres

The main difference is the twin screw style blowers make boost instantly from almost any RPM, while the centri blowers make real boost only over about 3000 RPM. There are quite a few other differences as well (not only between twin screw and centri but the individual blowers).

All of these blowers are high quailty units from great companys, and will make a massive difference in your car. The only things you should stay away from are eaton style units and anything that says "powerdyne" on it.
