do you need the master bearing kit?? b/c im about to order the tuner/gear combo from american muscle and it comes with the oil but doesnt give the option for the bearing or install kit....

 

u dont "have" too but i was told that it dont hurt to have new bearings and such

 

About $500 is an average price. With bearings you can add another $100-200.

got my bearing kit for $70 from americamuscle.com

 

I went with 3.73 Jegs standed over haul kit.... Ispent about 300... install was free... usually takes 4-5 hours of labor. .... im getting married to a Tech... they save you big $$$$$

 

I spent about $225 for FRPP gears, installation kit, and bearings.then I had a neighbor who had the proper tools too put in the rear gears so i saved a bunch of money having them installed he only charged me $75 too where most local shops said it would b atleast $250 to install them.
