Default Brake Problem...

Alrighty guys, this problem started about2 months ago when my brakes started squeaking so I got some new pads and rotors. But the squeaking is still here, but the thing is when I push on the breaks the squealing stops. It sounds as if something is if rubbing against the pad and when I close the caliper the squealing starts. Do you guys have any ideas as to what this noise is??

Pull your wheels and spray break cleaner all over the roters and calipers. Then put some desqueak on the rotors. If that doesn't work take it to get looked at.

Mine were squeaking when I got my car a few weeks ago and the rotors were new. The owner said they only had 1000 miles on them. I took it to a brake shop and they re surfaced them and now they are fine.

Maybe a re-surfacing is the trick...

Well..if it stops when you hit the pedal. Might be a bent backing plate?

mine had this same issue, and the ebrake boss spring and retaining nut broke off (this is bad, i I know) and the squeaking has stopped, try adjusting the ebrake cable, it might be dragging some

i know sometimes the pad comes unglued from the caliper and it will squeak until you hit the brakes then it squeezes them hence stopping the squeaking...
