Default question about a 96 strut.

ok, i am buying a 96 GT this sunday. the seller has informed me that as of yesterday the strut has begun to squeak. So far its only one. Will the rest do that soon to follow that one? How much do they cost? where can i find them?

Any help is much appreciated.

There is only one other strut. Make sure its the strut by spraying wd40 on the bushings around the Aarm. You can get a replacement at auto zone for around $100.

So if i find out that it is indeed the strut is it something that can be put off for a while or does it need replacing asap?

Don't worry about it. Mustangs are notorious for having bushings that squeak. I can think of at least two dozen people on here that have had that happen to them; myself included. The bushings on the stock suspension suck in a big way. I would just replace them with a better material. I can't remember what material is best, but as oxfordgt said, it's only like $100. If that is the only thing wrong, you should be good.

Just out of curiousity, what is the price, miles, condition, etc??

$4,800 107,xxx miles. 4 inch scratch atop the car paint chipping on the driver side front bumper corner it has Flowmaster 40s with O/R Xpipe and dumps Tremec 3650 5speed 3.55 gears Alpine CD player Grey/Tan LEather interior (cherry) Short throw shifter. (think its Hurst but i could be mistaken) Other than that its stock. IMO its a good buy. Better than i have found anywhere else.

$100 for one or both?!
