Coolant Question
I was just wondering how much the coolant level on yours cars goes up and down when the car is cold and hot. It was a little chilly here this morning, only around 30 though, and when I started up my car the coolant light stayed on a little longer than I usually notice, so I get out and pop the hood and take a look at the coolant level. It was only about... I'd say a quarter full in the resevoir, so I thought, ok, maybe I just need to fill it up later, though it got me worrying because my car never leaks anything and all the levels always stay perfect and to lose that much in such a short period of time would worry the hell outta me. Anyway, later at the gas station just a few miles down the road I decide to take a look again while it's filling up, and it's back up right on the line. So I know it goes up and down when it's cold or hot, but I didn't think it changed THAT much. I'll double check the mixture I have in there when I get home, but it should be a pretty good mix (water and coolant). Just wanted to see if it goes up and down that much for everyone else.
