Get a BBK 70mm Throttle body. Put gasket reducer between the iac and the plenum (helps your rpm's die down) Get a C&L power pipe. Get an offroad h or x-pipe and use the mil eliminators (this you will feel a noticable diff through the rpm's) Ohh and do yourself a favor and do them all at once. This way your not out there beating on your car wondering if there is any kind of a diff between each mod! :-) This should run you $350

Don't know what your budget is exactly but I would have to say gears would be the first mod everyone should do to their cars first. Why? You get the most for your money. If you upgrade to 3.73 (S/C applications) or 4.10 (for N/A applications) gears, your stang will feel and drive like a new beast. I still remember when I first got my gears, I was so happy but sad too because I had to break the gears in. No flooring for 500 miles or so =P I don't recommend installing your gears yourself because it is a tedious job and require a lot of work. Get Motive or FRPP gears and not Richmond. you WON'T get any more HP from the gears but you will feel the MOST significant mod ever aside to FI of course. And if you do want performance mods and want the best bang for the buck I would suggest the following:

1) Nitrous kit (75-125 shot)
2) Supercharger kit (easy 100+ hp gain)
3) Full bolt ons (LT Headers, Catback, X(h) pipe), Heads and Cams = <300rwhp

"You got to pay to play"
