Ligntning heads are 2v?

 

i thought the lightning was the 5.4 2v.

 

ive heard good things about patriot....bad too but that is besides the point. whatever problems they USE to have they seemed to have fixed and dont really cause the same problems

 

youd think for a bigger motor w/ a blower theyd have better flowing heads. IDK im sure somebody knows if they flow better.

patriot had some problems a couple years ago with making shi!tty heads but they seem to have corrected the problem. Im looking into fox lake heads, vt heads, and livernois heads. im not sure which ill go with.

 

are the 5.4 heads even 2v? in sean hylands book it only describes 5.4 4v heads but not 2v. so as i say in all cylinder head threads, go for the SVO heads.

 

svo heads require the non pi intake or the svo intake. just more money to spend for the 99+ guys

 

im almost positive the lightning is a 2v. the only 5.4 4v's ive heard of are in the navigator and i think the ford F-250 maybe. svo heads are great though. Fox lake heads are worth the money. but still nothin wrong with patriot heads

 

I've heard more bad then good about patriot heads.

For the money I'd go with fox lake, from whatI understand they do the head work for VT.
