Default 2001 GT headrests

First of all I want to say... mustangs rock!! I've had mine for about 2 years now and I am a bit nervous with the headrests. I notice 2003-2004 models have bigger/safer headrests than I do in my 2001. Do you think the 03/04 headrests will fit properly into my car? If so, where would i go to find them?? Maybe a scrapyard? Anyways, thanks for your help.

Ha, I'll give you my entire leather seat + brackets when I buy my race seats and rip out my back seats this summer.

If you're 6'5' like me... headrests don't really matter.

What do you don't like about headrests to warrant a swap with an 03-04?

Are the head rests really different? And what makes them safe or unsafe?? I would think there is probably something a whole lot better to spend the money on... just my 2 cents though...

i know nothing about safety-they'll probably both break your neck in a crash-but after 2002, the headrests got taller-so you could actually put your head on the headrest if you were just chillin out-they are a lot more comfortable too. Hard to find-maybe in a junkyard-but they'll usually try and sell the whole seat instead of the headpiece-almost hafta find someone who just wants to trade you

Hey if the headrest is too "comphy" you might fall asleep at the wheel..

..& then next week you'll be posting yet another "I just crashed my Stang" thread [:@]
