Default Performance Intake

Is there a performance intake manifold I could buy to replace the crappy plastic one...and how much horsepower could I get outta one? Does anyone have an aftermarket one?

bullitt, fox lake p-51, reichard racing anda couple others I can't remember. Be prepared to shell out $1000+ all said and done. They really only make power where our GTs redline (stock) and above. To see the true potential of the intake, upgraded heads and rotating assembly are also required.

So...technically there are intake manifoldsavailible, but on aGTin stock trim or close to stock trim they aren't very useful.

And the 500 dollar typhoon has mostly poor reviews, Id personally stay away from it.

I should add that there are a few manufacturers who are in the process of creating manifolds that are supposed to be more reasonably priced. They're supposed to be out relatively soon, but there's no really good info on them yet.

Supposedly the P-51 is best with N/A, and the bullit is great for F/I. Ive seen a graph show the Typhoon intake give a better power band but little to no horsepower gain... hope I helped

Trickflow is coming out w/ one that will be available from Texas Hotrods. It is only 700 buxs. I am thinking of that one since Trickflow does a pretty good job w/ the 5.0 stuff.
