Running while garaged?
My car is in the garage for the winter and under a car cover. I have the tank full and she has just been sitting for a while. Would it be good to start her up and let her run for a while every 2 weeks or so? What else should I do?
She is staying in the garage until the earliest of mid march. Then she is just coming out into the driveway for a cat back install and an oil, tranny, and other fluid change. Then she will be back on the road. It seems like letting the car sit for 4 months would be bad.
Thanks for any help.

Yeah Jmac, I would start her up every once in a while. I keep mine stored during the winter months and need to start her up again, its been about a month. Let her warm up for a while, I would say at least5 minutes or longer, just to get everything lubed and water vapors out of the engine.

Its a good idea to start it up at least once a week, that way all the rotating parts are oiled up. Like djb said, some fuel stabilizer wouldnt be a bad idea.
