Default question!!!!!

i have a 96 gt with 150,000 miles i am thinking about doing a pi swap just trying to talk my dad into it. he is telling me getting these new things with all the other old parts with the miles on them will screw with my car. is he right? or will everything run fine. like if i do the swap will it have any effects on my car

it will be faster and a lot more fun to drive, but with that many miles u could just do the whole pi motor swap

i am currently getting the parts to do the pi intake and cams swap and rering my motor with all new bearing(i have 198000 miles on my 96)

There is a guy on Corral that did the swap at 110,000 miles and he is now at 250,000+ and going strong. As long as it is running good now it will run good after a pi swap.

oh ok i get that. well i can get the heads intake manifold and cams for 200 so i think i will do that and just get the heat hose and swap kit and be set to go. me and my neighbor are going to install it at home so i wont have to pay for having it done

definitely worth doing at that price. Will respond way better than any other 200$ mod you throw at it, or 500$ mod even. With that said, Go for it.

Expect to need a tune to get her running good, thats one thing 99+ stangs have, is a more aggressive tune, plus with your raised compression, I'm not sure but you may have to run higher octane (91).
