how many of you have a 75mm TB with a CAI. is it fine on the street and how much of a difference did you feel. i might with my tax return buy a BBK CAI and BBK intake plenum with 75mm TB.

I have no experience with the tb, but have read on the intake to stay away from BBK. Since its a chrome tubing, it gets hot, which makes the air get hot, which defeats the purpose of a cold air intake.

Just from what I've read on here though. Personally, I just ordered (about 2 mins ago) the JLT ram air intake.

get the 75mm and plenum combo at the same time

i installed a JLT RAI with a (used)Accufab75mm tb and plenum at the same time. it wasnt a huge difference but i did notice one, unlike when i put on my slp catback or when i added a k&n drop in filter to my stock intake.

yeah that makes pretty good sense. maybe ill just drop a K&N in and call it good for the intake side for a bit. maybe ill get a magnaflow catback system.

you can find c and l plenums on ebay for 150 bucks...which i ordered and then i bought a 75mm tb and bbk cai.....with those 3 when i put them on, it was a diff you could notice....but if your looking to save a little money just get a k and n filter and throw on the t/b and plenum....still would be a difference you will notice

I've read all the hype about a metal CAI vs a plastic CAI. I put 20K miles ona BBK CAI and never had a problem on a basically stock motor. I would think that a composite air plastic intake would initially shield heat away from the engine compartment heat soke and cool the air charge, but no matter which intake you use, they are all subjected to the same under-hood temps.

The air won't be in the pipe long enough to change the air temp. This is a massive myth....
