Default Nitrous

I dont know that much about nitrous, but my dad wants to put nitrous in his boat. It is a 24ft baja with a fuel injected8.2l 502 magnum, it has cams and headers, can we run nitrous with this. Do you have to tune the engine for it?
Need some help, Thanks.

Disclaimer: I don't know A THING aboutany specifics of thatmotor. Yes you can spray that motor (you can spray any motor). No you won't -NEED- to tune it for nitrous, if you get a wet kit for it, you should be ok. Just strap a wideband O2 sensor on the exhaust and watch the air/fuel ratio when you spray and adjust the fuel jet accordingly.

Find out how much power it's making, number of cylinders (I'm assuming V8?), and the material the rods, pistons, and crank are made of, and that will help you determine how much you can spray through it.

Down another road... Whipple makes LOTS of marine application superchargers now

What the hell would you spray a boat for? Nitrous is for accelaration, not necessarily top speed. Unless you are planing on using it as a drag boat, stay away from spray for marine applications.
