Default Best Exhaust

Im lookin at a 99 GT and the person who is selling it isnt that descriptive but they said it has a "flowmaster 2 chamber dual exhuast". Im not sure if this is cat-back or just mufflers. If i was to buy the car, andif it is only the mufflers, what other exhuast components should i buy to get the best (loudest) growl and a good amount of performance as well? Thanks for the help

well if i was you i would buy the car take of the catback and torch it until it cant be torched anymore. then i would buy a good sounding catback from a respectable company.

He probably swapped out the stockers for these flows.
Just as info, the 2 chambers are louder than the 3 chamber flows.
I would replace it with a good catback set up when you have the $$$.

The best exhaust is one you make yourself...well not really. I had my headers "custom" made. Its the only set like it. I have a friend thats a very knowledgeable mechanic/welder...bent the tubes so the difference between the longest and shortest tubes was less then 1",matched the tube opening to the port opening (shape and size)...but anyway its better then any mass produced headers, thats my point.

ditch the flows!!! Get an Bassani, Magnaflow, or Dynomax catback. I love the Magnaflow sound with my Bassani x pipe. Sometimes I just like looking under the chassis of my car to see all the stainless steel.

Listen to sound clips (mustangexhaust.com or something), find what you like and go get it.
