My girlfriend got me a gift certificate to get my windows tinted for V-day. I was wondering if some of you guys could post some pictures of the tint with you have along with what % it is. My car is mineral gray, what do you think would look good?

Also, post what problems youve had with the po-lice. I'm gettingmine done soon, but apparantly IL cops are duschers about it....[&:]

 

5%, no cop problems yet knock on wood.

 

5% all around. This was when I first got the car. However, so I didn't have any run ins with the police, I took it off the side windows the next day. 5% is awesome; your car stays nice and cool in the summer (sun doesn't heat the leather), and it looks absolutely wicked. I highly regret removing the tint, so much that I think this spring I will have 5% put back on the side windows. :-D

Question though, in addition to thread starter (I don't want to hijack the thread but this is a worthy problem)...Does anybody have the defroster lines removed? My back window tint is peeling, especially around the defroster lines and the dot matrix near the top of the window.

I have 20% and have had no problems with the police although I had 5% on my truck and got a 40 dollar ticket. I prefer the look of the 5% but it is so hard to see out of at night so I like the 20% better.

I had strip of black vinyl across top back to cover matrix dots

the laws in IL state that you're not allowed to have any tint at all on your windshield or driver and pass. side windows. but the rear window and rear side windows have no limit to the tint %. if you have tint on your rear windsheild, you must have side mirrors.

What would look good on a mineral gray? I think I would like 20%, anyone know the laws in Alabama?
