Do I need to purchase a T/A if I am going to be getting a chip soon?

I wouldn't. The chip should advance your timing if you get a good burn. A lot of people get the TA because the chip is one of the last things they get. Its up to you.

The chip is going to be the last mod I do. I've purchased just about everything I wanted for my car performancewise now. I'm going to get a dynotune and chip and call it a day. After that...RIMS. What about an MSD ignition? Would I need one of them?

The ignition upgrade is always a good idea. If you plan to run any kind of serious power, lots of spark is good. It's also more efficent than the stock ignition. You'll idle smoother with it and gain some throttle response. You'll cylinders will also burn absolutely completely, keeping it cleaner. And with some pill kits, you can adjust your rev limit.
