Default 4.6 question?

I have a 2002 mountaineer with a 4.6 and was wondering if any of you guys have ever had the throttle stick on you guys in cold weather? I was on the highway yesterday and went to turn off and the truck wouldn't slow down, and no the cruise was not on (LOL), I tried to hit the gas but it didn't spring back, so i hit the breaks in the turn lane and shut off the key, after that i finally got home and put it in the garage and turned on the heat. i took it back out last night and everything was fine. Anyone know what could have happened. Throttle cables frozen?

Yea your throttle cable was frozen. Had you washed the car recently? Especially if you washed under the hood in winter you're begging for icing troubles.

Hadn't washed it in about a week or so, usually sits inside, but it did sit outside the night before I drove it, so that made me think that the cold had something to do with it.
