Whats the best way to remove the strut tower brace? What kind of changes might I see from from doing this if I decide to not put it back on?

RE: 97 cobra
Why are you removing it? Id assume you just unbolt it. It stiffens up the front end for better handling and performance.
There was a night and day difference on my GT after I installed mine. |
RE: 97 cobra
Yeah I can't imagin why you would want to remove it? Are you sure your not talking about the front sway bar. Because people remove that for better weight transfer for drag racing.

2 bolts on the firewall and 3 on each shock tower 8 total. Put it back on like already stated it stiffens the chassis. The only reason Ford stopped putting them in is to save $.

RE: 97 cobra
They claimed that the new floor pan design meaned you didn't need it anymore. That's crap if you already have one keep it, if you don't have one get one.

idk but a LOT of things don't fit the 98 for some reason...i don't know for sure but it sounds like BS to me to hate on all the 98 owners!

RE: 97 cobra
I'm pretty sure it will. The only question will if the bolt holes will be there. If not your going to have to drill and tap your own.
