Default weird noise

i have a 98 gt and i bought it about a month ago with 39k on it, it now has about 41k and i dont know if the previous owner ever really raced it around or not but once in a while ill get on it and stuff like we all do and it never did it when i first got it but recently startin around 2500-3000 it sounds like a rattle, i figure its the exhaust bolt or somethin but it all looks good under there, could it be one of those six cats(i think 6) thats makin some noise or do u think it could be somethin more serious. it still runs great and the performance has been the same. i figure after i do an o/r x pipe and borla side exhaust it should stop it either that or i just wont be able to hear it anymore. lol

It is a heat shield on one of your cats. A muffler shop, or any shop that welds can spot weld that bad boy in place. Might as well add reinforcement to all of them when you get it up in the air.
