you should be fine as long as the filter isnt completly submerged in water.

Exactly. People don't realize it's easier for an engine to suck in air than it is water. Here's a little experiment. Get a straw. Cut a hole in the straw about 3/4 to the top. Then put the bottom in your favorite drink and see what happens.

Watch out for those suprise deep puddles. I have heard of guys hitting them and snapping a rod. I wont put my filter in the fender the risk is not worth the 0* temp change. Oh you didn't know that CAI really dont pull in colder air. LOL

Huh? Then what's the point? If I had a fender intake, the air going to the engine would be a hell of alot colder. After driving in the summer for 45 minutes, my engine bay is a frikin oven. The air is way hotter inside the bay than in the fender.

You should be fine, just dont go driving threw massive puddles of flooded streets
Right! The only CAI that could cause problems is the one from March that is actually open and directly at the bottom front of the car.
It is a ram air kit.
I've heard horror stories from Fox's with the March kit.

I had my BBK in the fender for 8 years and never an issue, my Tunable Induction is also in there but is in the up position.
