Definitely Dissapointed
I need drag radials like now! well i took her to the track tonight in great dissapointment/ sh**ty driving. well i got no traction at the end of 1st, hella no traction at the end of 2nd and hardly any traction at the end of third. best run of the night? 15.6 @ 94.7 mph. really lame i want to cry i know it can run 2 seconds faster than that, easy! oh well maybe with some wider stickier tires ill be allright. but at least i met a cool guy tonight check this out, he bought a 2001 cobra engine and put it into his 97 GT it was sick! he was running a 13.2 with 3.73's and street tires. bad ***. oh well always next week right? oh yea that was the best out of 4 runs with all different angles of going at it.
also remember that a dr is not as wide as a regular street tire of the same size just get you some nitto 555r's and be done with it and also do you have and gears in the 98 or just stock gearing
You need a tune or something bad, theirs something wrong with your car if your only trapping at 94mph in a supercharged stang. Trap speed has little to do with traction, and all to do with horsepower. Im being serious about getting your car looked at. MPH is a good indicator of hp to weight ratio, and looks like you've got about 200hp at the wheels.
naw cause i couldnt gain speed till i let off in 3rd gear and i was having really bad 60 foot time it was like a 2.4 no traction = no go, remember i would have to shift out of 2nd gear early and wait for 3rd gear to wind out while loosing traction at the same time. only to shift out of 3rd early and finally get traction in fourth, it runs like a bute when the pavement is hot, but my track only runs in late evening, and we had a misty rain tonight which = excuses i obviously suck at driving this car at this point
but if i lost so much traction how could i gain any speed, it would only slow because i could hardly use any boost succesfully, which puts me at stock gt horsepower

Often times with better traction comes slower trap speeds.
