im having trouble with my long tube headers fitting them in with a stock starter.. i've bought 3 different starters and none of them were any different.. any suggestions??

which headers are they? they will fit... you just have to kinda beat them to get them off the starter motor... it takes alot of effort to get them to fit on that side of the car, alittle bit of work with a hammer or twisting and pulling should do it..

Who makes a good, reliable mini starter? I don't want it to crap out on me in 6 months so I'd have to take the headers down again.

i'd suggest not putting the top bolt back in. it might seem ludacris, but it really isnt necessary and your starter should be fine with two bolts

PA (as said above) is really good, when i got the starter (i have one too btw) it offers a little starter dyno sheet showing the performance of your particular starter matches the companies requirements, it also comes with a limited warranty for free replacement if it messes up. They offer some good insentives with their starters and it hasnt gone out on me yet...very pleased
